Cameroon is a country located in Central Africa that is known as "Africa in miniature" for its remarkable characteristics. It is nestled between Africa's plains and plateaus, forests and savannahs, and the English and French-speaking region of Africa.
Our coffees and peppers come mainly from the Littoral, the greater West and East regions of Cameroon. Climate, soil fertility and the expertise of our local partners are the reasons for this choice.
EXIM Global is present in both Cameroon and Switzerland to guarantee quality throughout the process
EXIM Global is a sustainable company that focuses on providing small farmers and cooperatives (coffee and pepper) with access to the European market. We do this by educating them about customers’ high expectations in quality. We support our partners through best practice training so that they can promote their products and get better compensation. EXIM Global prides itself on responsible and sustainable development. We believe that we can achieve lasting success and strength by working together.
EXIM Global’s long-term goal is to improve the living conditions of farmers. One way to achieve this goal is to improve the quality of green beans that will lead to specialty coffee (arabica) and fine robusta.
For the fine robusta, EXIM Global plans to promote farmers who will apply the best practices of growing coffee. Their beans will be offered directly to small roasters interested in fine robusta. This will allow them to have better incomes. The cultivation of fine robusta is also done in a mixed cropping environment promoting a biological environment by default, the growth of a cash crop and food crops
Our coffees and peppers (from Penja) are recognized by experts for the mixing of their aromas resulting in unique flavors
Cultivated in the warm tropical zones of the plain up to an altitude between 800 and 1,000 m, our robusta grow on rich and volcanic soil. This enables our partners to harvest top quality organic by default robusta coffee. In Cameroon, this type of coffee is cultivated in the Littoral, South West, part of the West, North West and East regions.
Arabicas are grown mainly in the west and northwest of Cameroon, which are the parts of the country adapted to the climate, altitude and soil suitable for this plant. The poverty of peasants is at certain interesting proportions for the quality of final production which has not had the chance or the misfortune to be subjected to the devastating effects of certain inputs harmful to the environment and the health of future consumers.
Both arabica an robusta are treated with expertise during the picking, drying and processing phases. This know-how is a key factor which enables us to release the uniqueness of the aromas during roasting and thus obtain dense coffee with excellent acidity, multiple strong aromas and a spicy flavor.
Cultivated mainly in the commune of Penja (the Littoral region) in Cameroon, on a naturally rich and balanced volcanic soil, Penja pepper is characterized by its truly exceptional character and flavor. Harvested in the traditional way (manually), the cleaning, drying, and sorting methods have remained unchanged for generations.
This wild pepper, once it has been sorted and calibrated, has woody, amber and musky notes. This means our peppers from Cameroon enjoy a huge success with amateurs. In addition, Penja pepper goes perfectly with game, pork, beef as well as fish because of its freshness, finesse, length in the mouth and powerful taste.
Whether it is green, black or white pepper, it is the same fruit, but there are differences in the maturity and processing phases. Used separately, green, black and white peppers give you a distinctive taste that is clean and identifiable. When they are combined, these three peppers result in an explosion of flavor on your palate.
EXIM Global is a reliable operator which brings added value in the coffee business chain
